What’s wrong with America?

What is wrong in the United States of America? Well, we could start with a headline like this: “Google agreed to pay two top executives $135 MILLION total in severance packages after they were both accused of sexual misconduct.” Story. Amit Singhal? He gets $45 million to leave Google after allegedly groping a colleague at an event. Andy Rubin? $90 million for a hotel room #metoo incident… what do we call this? A mistake? Oh, Rubin also gets $150 million in stock options for begging for head. So, while the rest of us are out in America stringing it together, hey, land an executive position at Google and MESS IT UP. And voila. You own your own island with money left over to live comfortably the rest of your life. Perhaps worst of all, does Google even realize the message sent that Google believes it pays to behave that way? Crazy!
